Laos receives another million doses of Covid-19 vaccine from China.

China has sent another million doses of Covid-19 vaccination to Laos.

 

A new consignment of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccination from Hangzhou, China, arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane Capital today.

 

The vaccines were supplied by China to Laos as part of friendly relations, and are expected to assist the country reach its objective of vaccinating 50 percent of the population by the end of the year.

 

China has now donated a total of 4,302,000 doses through this fresh shipment of one million pills, which is in addition to prior shipments.

 

At Wattay Airport, Chinese Ambassador to Laos Jiang Zaidong gave the vaccines to Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Dr. Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune.
