Strange how the USA imported most of them, eh. Production of the MGB/C/V8 ran from 1963 to 1981, so you really are talking cr@p. By then it was outdated. What's with the "4 pot indeed"...? 🤔

Even my Firebird was surprisingly dependable, for Detroit POS. My Nissan pickup, tasked with towing was also great. The only new vehicle I ever bought in USA. You're not comparing like with like. Look at the Datsun 240z and the Mazda Mx, Toyota Celica, MR2 even the Honda S500–S800, the Honda S2000 - the MG was in production from the ealy 1960s (when it wasn't even then very startling) until 1980 before they realised it was a waste of time.

KhunLA Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago OMG ... they're everywhere. I can not deny nor confirm, if the dirty one is ours, although we did just come back from an O&A. The thought of MGs in abundance on the road, may be disturbing to many. OK, maybe just one, but, rest easy and try to get some sleep ... 1

OK, maybe just one, but, rest easy and try to get some sleep ... Not sure why it’s a surprise – the Japanese companies are struggling, the Europeans and Americans never showed much interest or couldn’t make it work so now it’s the Chinese’s turn. As ever the west sits back and just watches and slags off products that are in fact much more suited than anything from the West. BYD has a large factory in Rayong province that is expected to produce 150,000 vehicles per year. Also SAIC Motor, Hozon Auto, Great Wall Motor Manufacturing There are over 500 Chinese firms in Thailand now The Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Park and the Amata City Rayong industrial estate are home to many Chinese companies. 3

People have no interest in quality ? Also the world complaining about the chinese leadership selling everything to the rest of the world, but then they buy chinese cars when EU cars or even Japanese are so much better ? This world is weird... Sounds like what they were saying about Japanese cars in the seventies. By the time they woke up everyone was driving Toyotas and Hondas. Same is happening now with Chinese cars now. 2 1
