FINALLY: The Insurance We've Been Looking For

WRLife appears to be an insurance broker, not an insurance company. From their "policy":

"WRLIFE POLICY

The Insured becomes a member and a shareholder when selecting any Module of WrLife participative community or simply when buying shares only, without buying any insurance. WrLife is a master broker which has a binding authority with: One or several licensed Insurance(s) Company(ies)"

Not sure about the member and shareholder bit. Seems odd for in insurance broker to sell or give their clients shares in anything. I was also unable to find out which insurance companies they place their clients' coverage with from the website.

This might be a matter of semantics - or culture. We Americans are very familiar with "Mutual" insurance companies. The insured own shares in the company, and technically have a say in management. In this case, the point is that the company exists for the purpose of serving a customer base that has traditionally be gouged, rather than a shareholder base that demands high returns. But again, none of this is important to me. Like so many others, I just want the piece of paper that the Thai apparatchiks demand, to get back to my family. And I don't want to pay thousands of dollars for what I don't want, and don't need.

have read their their website, needs proofreading, some texts missing from sentences

Good points all. But I have my policy papers, and I have a hunch the kind folks at immigration won't be worried. The president of the company, who is French, has lived in Thailand for 31 years. In 45 years of business, I've been fooled once or twice, but I'm a pretty good judge of character. Anyway - I have the piece of paper I need, and it didn't cost me thousands of dollars. If one believes that paying more for a big name will truly get you more "safety" - go for it. I've had dealings with big name insurance companies. Know how they afford those big names? Just like Vegas casinos get built. I don't trust big-name insurance companies any more than my Aunt Fannie. If the Thai immigration decide to turn me away, I'll be right back here to admit I was wrong. But I'll take bets right now the difference between "the bigs" and this company is nothing more than a website grammatical  error.

You do seem somewhat triggered by the response to your earth shattering discovery. If a company can't even get scam reviews on it's own page that should tell you something.

You seem to put an awful lot of confidence in one review, the thrust of which was that the company was a broker and not an "insurance company." Do you really believe all these links to so-called insurance companies are not brokers?

You seem to be (purposefully?) missing the point. For a company with more than 30 years experience in the business you would expect it to have reviews all over the place. Given the hand-wringing that went on when they brought in insurance for Non O-A you would have thought by now this company would be a well known name in the market.
