In the first week of Thailand’s reopening to quarantine free travelers, the country welcomed over 20.000 international travelers including 724 Swedish travelers.

According to the Department of Disease Control, most travelers to Thailand in the first week between 1 November to 6 November were from the United States, Europe, and Japan.

Government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said that out of the total 20.092 visitors to Thailand in the first week, only 15 were found to be infected with covid-19 which was at a manageable level.

If you sum them up most of the travellers were from Europe, even many European countries were not mentioned.

travellers from Europe does not equal European travellers.

Welcomed??? With draconic requirements! I am sure everyone felt the warm welcome.

If they all made it in after the test, well and good!

In the old days, 724 (or more) Swedish tourists would probably have arrived in a weekend in Phuket in the peak season. And plenty more in Krabi.

In the really old days , about 1000 years ago , that many would arrive in a day in  the north of England or the coast of France and go on the most terrible benders.

Neither do travellers from The United States equal US travellers.
