No particular objection, just a shame that so much in the UK is up for sale to whoever from wherever.

The UK is the whore of the world. Sell anything to anyone, and not ask too many questions.... Money laundering?  no no sir..... not us....

Ah the nostalgic days when Thai billionaires bought English football clubs.............

    Should we be alarmed that Middle East money is taking over sport?   Why? Will it change anything on the field? It's still kicking a little ball around.   Beyond a few, will the maj

Can only be good to have foreign money flowing back in our countries, then the domestic entrepreneurs can use their money for other businesses. Also those foreign buyers and investors in sports seem to really do it out of passion and usually really benefit those clubs.

So long as they leave  womens' beach volley ball out of their portfolio I don't care !

I think you're missing the point. It's not just about investment, it's about control.

Investment at that level is control. Why not? They are willing to pay. Sport lost its amateur status years ago. The teams are still in the home countries as are the stadia.

Does he build skyscrapers and stadiums with what's essentially slave labor? Withholding passports, wages, and forcing them to work, often to death?

Does he enforce strict dress codes, jail and fines for a little too much skin? In 40 degree weather? And the same for perhaps a little too much public display of romance? Yet he wants his countries to be international tourist destinations?

Does he still consider women second class citizens, with many job opportunities denied, and domestic violence often condoned?

That's a completely separate argument, which is valid.

Sure that football world cup hasnothing to do in Qatar, it's not a football country : I am sure their national team will loose all his games

FIFA accepted that they have only 8 stadiums ( normally 11 to be accepted ) , just because they have not enough stadiums, never mind, they paid to have this world cup : not a football country I tell you ;

PSG has bought Messi ( salary 30 millions € a year ), they are ready to buy Halland : only one or two French players in this team

Money Talks????????????????????????always has always will????????????????????????????
