Popular Post webfact
Picture: Naew Na The new Chinese ambassador to Thailand paid a courtesy call on Thai PM Prayuth Chan-ocha in the Ivory Room at Government House yesterday, reported Naew Na. Han Zhiqiang, who took up the post in August, came bearing gifts and promising to strengthen bilateral relations between the two Asian neighbors. He had a donation of 1.5 million doses of vaccine - the Thai media did not specify what brand it was though previous donations have been Sinovac, notes ASEAN NOW. Prayuth praised the ambassador for the excellent start he had made in his post and noted that with the ambassador's bountiful experience he would undoubtedly develop their relationship. The donation also included medical supplies used in the supply of oxygen to Covid-19 patients. Han promised continued assistance in the fight with the virus. Among the other topics up for discussion was the much heralded Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) plan that is being fueled by Chinese investment along with other major infrastructure projects and plans. But remember, everything free from China has a cost, a big cost. And what do we call persons who abuse us (spread a virus), then bring us back to consciousness for a while, then abuse us then bring us around again? Buffy Frobisher
Coincides conveniently with the announcement earlier this week that China is interested in establishing full-blown offshore military bases in Thailand and Singapore. The little man has probably already said yes to them. 2

Popular Post rwill
I had 2 doses of Sinovac. Last one in July. I have queued for Moderna at Bangkok hospital. At my checkup yesterday my doctor told me I should go ahead and get both Moderna vacinations instead of just 1 as a third booster for the Sinovac. He thinks by now I probably don't have many antibodies left in my body. So best to just start over again. For those saying Sinovac is worthless it just isn't true. It is better than nothing. However I read an article where they were discussing the different vaccines. They said a good vacinne should give you more antibodies than actually catching the virus. Sinovac does not do that. AZ, Pfizer, and Moderna do.

But we know how the government loves to make proclamations that aren't always followed through.
