Popular Post webfact
The former personal protection officer of exiled former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Pol Col Watanyu “Nui” Witthayapalothai, has been reinstated and promoted to deputy commander for intelligence in the Special Branch Bureau in a recent police reshuffle. The website of the Information Division of the Royal Thai Police published three orders, regarding the reshuffle of 1,955 middle-ranking police officers, including Watanyu, which was signed on November 12th. The former bodyguard came to public attention when he was placed under investigation for a gross disciplinary violation after he accompanied Yingluck to Russia to watch a World Cup football match in 2018 without formally taking leave. Popular Post trainman34014
Never been off the Payroll of course. The Thai idea of 'Punishment' for wrongdoing is for the offender to be posted to some backwater for a while and then return with a promotion and all forgiven and forgotten. It is small wonder that the country is Corrupt from top to bottom.
Popular Post smutcakes
This kind of thing confuses me so much here- you have VIP's who can pay for police escorts on a daily basis, school buses get paid police escorts etc. My work colleagues say that anyone can ask and pay for police escorts... and these police are paid by the taxpayer, but can apparently moonlight for paid for work on work time.... and where does the money go from this? 4

Yes it is. It shows that he was a very good bodyguard. He protected her from the corrupt people that were trying to arrest her. 9

Popular Post Regyai
Yes the corruption was more laissez faire, but they had no time or inclination for the persecution of falangs which sadly is now de rigueur. Certainly we all enjoyed a more stable (& carefree) tenure in the then Land of Smiles
