Laos receives a fresh shipment of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines from China.

The ninth consignment of Covid-19 vaccinations from China has arrived in Laos, with 1.9 million doses from Sinopharm arriving at Wattay International Airport.

 

Yesterday, the newest consignment of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccination from China arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane Capital.

 

Dr. Phankham Viphavanh, the Prime Minister of Laos, formally accepted the vaccinations from Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong.

 

Laos' Prime Minister thanked the Chinese government for its support in the fight against the Coronavirus in Laos and throughout the world.

 

"Since the epidemic began, China has supplied the most vaccinations to Laos, raising the total number of donated doses to 6.2 million," Prime Minister Phankham stated.

 

Dr. Phankham Viphavanh stated, "The vaccinations and vaccination equipment were supplied as part of Chinese help to Laos in its endeavor to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and meet its objective of vaccinating over 50% of the population by the end of the year."

 

To assist Laos meet its immunization objective, China has agreed to donate another 800,000 doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 Vaccines by the end of November.
