Yala - A soldier was injured when insurgents detonated a roadside bomb Tuesday morning, police said.

The explosion occurred in Ban Jaroh Village in Tambon Thanto of Yala's Thanto district at 7:10 am, police siad.

The unit was patrolling the road on foot when insurgents detonated the bomb with electric wire.

The soldier suffered minor injuries and was sent to the Thanto district hospitasl.
