YALA (NNT) - The Prime Minister today visited Yala and Pattani on a trip to inspect progress from government campaigns, where the model city development campaigns gained special emphasis, along with projects enhancing the quality of life.

 

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha today paid a visit to the southern border provinces of Yala and Pattani, in his official visit to inspect government projects.

 

His trip started in the morning with a visit to the southern border provinces civic center in Yala, where he has urged government officials to strive for concrete outcomes from local development projects and to work collectively with all related agencies to help villagers achieve a better quality of life.

 

The Prime Minister has emphasized occupational promotion campaigns for farmers, and the efforts to solve the issues of informal and household debts.

 

He then delivered an energy-focused economic development policy for southern border provinces, along with further model city developments under the Triangle of Security, Prosperity, and Sustainability campaign, including the planned opening of Betong Airport in Yala next year.

 

The Prime Minister then observed a local campaign for persons with disabilities, royally initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, which provides special chairs and tailor-made shoes for this vulnerable population.

 

This royal campaign has helped enhance the quality of life among people with disabilities by providing these special items and helped eliminate poverty and promote sustainable development for people of all ages, through the teachings of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
