Thai Narcotics Suppression Bureau announces major drug busts in the past several weeks

The Narcotics Suppression Bureau of the Royal Thai Police today, December 16th, announced eight major drug busts, confiscating more than 6.2 million methamphetamine tablets and 325 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in the past weeks.

 

A total of 6,228,920 million methamphetamine tablets, 325.288 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 1,735 kilograms of cannabis, and 5.44 kilograms of heroin were seized while reportedly being transferred from neighboring countries to the inner areas of Thailand, the police reported.

 

The first case took place in Pathum Thani where about 323 kilograms of ice methamphetamine was reportedly being delivered to a client. The suspect was arrested at a department store following the investigation.
