If their intention is to stop omicron they need to go in to a fairly strict lockdown now, eg, close malls, bars, restaurants, schools, etc.  That might keep cases from rising above a few thousand a day.  Keep it the same, and there will be tens of thousands within a month or so.

As they say, fear is a powerful tool.

 

Sure report it when there something worth reporting, or report it once a week, numbers down, but if the numbers of deaths are up, report it, otherwise we can all catch this now lessor strain of the virus, as for the old and those with weaker immune systems, not discriminating, but there are other boogie men out there looking to infect you too.

Thailand on Tuesday (December 28) reported 2,305 new COVID-19 cases, 3,070 recoveries and 32 additional deaths over the past 24 hours.
