Car Android Head Unit

Bought a new car and it has a USB port next to what I call the cigarette lighter plug in.  The dealer installed an android head unit.  It worked pretty good at first using my android phone as a router.  Now it connects, but when you try to play a song on Youtube,  it plays for maybe 5 to 10 seconds and stops.  Hit the play button again and it does the same thing.  

Been looking at USB router dongles that take a sims card, but there are so many I have no idea what will work.  I see a lot of 4G LTE usb dongles.  Will they work in my car usb port?  If not, can you recommend something else?
