The Thailand’s Layer Farmers Association said on Monday that chicken egg prices will not rise to over 3.44 baht each, after a price hike this week given higher cost of chicken feed. 

 

Following soaring pork prices due to supply shortages, another common good like chicken egg is now seeing a surge in prices. From Monday, sellers increased the average farmgate price of chicken eggs from 2.80 to 3 baht each.  

 

Manoch Chutubtim, president of the nation’s Layer Farmers Association, said layer farmers have been facing high costs since last year. He vowed that the prices will not exceed the government’s cap of 3.44 baht.

The Thais will be eating chicken turd soon because that will be all they can afford.

Oh sorry, some are doing that now along with baby frogs and anything else they can get their hands on.

 

I buy from a fresh egg seller locally... never from a convenience store.

Last week my usual tray of 30 had risen by 10 baht. 

Better can buy a few chickens by yourself... They can eat the leftovers and eggs so many you can't eat them all...First the pork, the petrol, the broccoli and cauliflower, chicken meat and now the eggs...What is next??
