METV extension questions

Hi!

I am in Thailand on a METV visa and first entry stay ends on Feb 10. I arrived in mid Dec via Test & Go program.

I have 2 questions/doubts

1. If I go to some foreign place, say in Feb 9, like Dubai and come back after a few days - do I only need to quarantine 1 day and do the PCR test, same as previously?
2. If instead I decide to go to ChaengWattana to extend for 30 days - do I need to book an appointment somewhere or can just show up there, pay 1900 thb and get the extension?

For each entry you are given 60 day permission of stay.

Prior to that expiry you can obtain a 30 day extension. 1900baht.

If you exit Thailand you will need to satisfy the current entry requirements. 

These are fluid and it appears test and go is being reintroduced. 

You can just turn up for extension or make appointment.

Some basic photocopies are required.
