Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand has been ranked 26th out of 53 countries and territories in Bloomberg news agency’s Covid Resilience Ranking, having moved up 18 spots from the previous year. The prime minister has welcomed the development and expressed his appreciation for people’s cooperation with disease control measures. Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha expressed satisfaction over the improved ranking performance through government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, who said Gen. Prayut appreciated the work of all relevant agencies that resulted in the success. Mr. Thanakorn said the death rate from COVID-19 was kept low while the rigorous disease control measures implemented still allowed for economic activity. He said public cooperation with the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA) measures had been crucial in enabling the domestic Covid situation to remain under control. Bloomberg explained that Thailand’s 18-place rise in the ranking was due to its high ratio of vaccination and low number of infections and deaths when compared to other countries. The country was recognized for having relaxed or adjusted social restriction measures in accordance with the development of the disease situation. The majority of economists also foresee the Thai economy growing this year due to the country having re-opened to international visitors and implementation of quarantine-free measures. According to the spokesman, Gen. Prayut has ordered all sectors to plan to handle the Covid situation in the short and long terms so people are able to live safely with COVID-19. Meanwhile, economic progress will not be abandoned and efforts will be made to make the economy more prepared to face future risks. Mr. Thanakorn noted that applications to enter Thailand via the Test & Go pathway resumed today (1 Feb). The Covid Resilience Ranking took into account 12 factors within three main categories that included the reopening process, the Covid status and the quality of life in each country or territory. 26th-ranked Thailand had a total score of 63.7, and was placed immediately under Germany and above Malaysia on the ranking. -- © Copyright NNT 2022-02-02 - Aetna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post Paulaew
The General is quick to tout this latest international ranking. But when Thailand fell from 104 to 110 on the latest Transparency International Corruption Index there was not a word to be heard, though this was a government that claimed that its top priority was to reduce corruption. The previous year Thailand's ranking fell from 101 to 104, so the latest ranking indicates that corruption is accelerating. It is time for Prayut and Prawit and Anupong to retire, and for the military to return to their barracks. Have a fair election and let the people choose their leaders. Petey11
If all countries tested like Thailand I'm sure a lot more would climb the table. 1
