How do Covid extensions affect 90 days in 6 mo./180 days in 1 year maximum stay rules for non-long term visitors?

I never seen such a announcement.

Many years ago there was the 90 days in 6 months rule for visa exempt entries but that was rescinded when the reduced them at land border crossings to 15 days that was dropped when they reduced them to 2 per calendar year.

Amazing how people "search high and wide" for a problem to worry about.
