Would the 'US' LEDs not come from China? In which case, order them via Ali Express = no customs.

Well that is what i try to do, aliexpress but say ship from the us ^^

Sorry did read wrong, so it's sure no import cost from ali?

Warning Will Robinson, warning!

Check they are good for 220V or you may end up with some expensive bin-fillers!

I was wrong, they said (shipping fee US 22$), so i thinked it came from the states , thanks for the warning ????

That in itself is crazy!

Are these things that special you can't get them here??

Not special, i need just some mi light led, here they cost 750 a piece, on ali just 320 a piece...

(They are original i did order there before)

And i need 40 of them so it's a BIG difference, ok shipping is 22$. But it arrives in 5 days (if true) free shipping say 30 days, or is free shipping fast as well?

There definitely more expensive here.

However I don't remember them being that pricey.

I bought ours at Home Pro or Global house.  They'll always have some promotions.

Here's an example from Amazon USA to Thailand.

Import fees 1.21.

Shipping 11.41

Wow!

I'll order from Amazon next time.  Shipping and customs tax is cheaper than the gas to get there!

Good luck.

LED's will save a bundle in the long run.

Maybe not so true, usually Ali-express knows and will add VAT/GST to the total.

If they don't be careful as it will get stopped in the post office and won't be delivered unless you pay the tax.!

I know, we got caught not from Ali-express but Alibaba itself, brought an electric door closer and had to pay something like tax 1600bht when it arrived to get it.

And certainly be careful with the LEDs from the US as they will probably  be 110v.

Don't know what price LEDs are on Lazada, may be worth a look see.!

I have already tried an LED bulb from USA.
Because they are 110v as others have noted they will not work.

Mine lasted about 2 seconds before it fizzled out.

Google is your friend.

How is import duty calculated in Thailand?

If the full value of your items is over 1500 THB, the import tax on a shipment will be 7%. For example, if the declared value of your items is 1500 THB, in order for the recipient to receive a package, an additional amount of 105.00 THB in taxes will be required to be paid to the destination countries government.

How much is tax on electronics?

Electronic goods are mostly at 18% GST.Oct 28, 2564 BE

Amazon and eBay shipping fees from the USA are exorbitant.

I suggest you check eBay.  Open the eBay Advanced Search. window  Enter what you want to buy then go down the page to "Location", check the box next to "Located in", then scroll up to China and click on that location.  Scroll down to the bottom of the window and click on "Search".  Your search results will start with the item you want being shipped from China, followed by results from other countries.  Shipping from China is frequently free and EMS shipping is always just a fraction of what it costs to ship from the USA.

I don't know what style of Lee bulbs they are, but even 320 per bulb seems expensive, if standard light bulbs...

I buy cheap, as even the expensive branded ones seem too fail in less than a year sometimes.

You may already know this, but others on this thread might not: the Amazon example lights you showed are not what most people would consider 100 watt equivalents. Incandescent 100W lights produce about 1600 lumens and these bulbs put out only 1450.
