Thai Rath were in attendance as the Thai police mounted a swoop on an online gambling operation in Songkhla yesterday afternoon.

 

Heading the entourage was RTP deputy and PCT (cyber cops) chief Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat known as "Big Den" in the Thai media.

 

They were they to shut down gimi88 that was offering slots, casino games, bingo and shoot the fish among other attractions.

46 arrests - 23 men and 13 women - were made at 8 locations in Khao Roop Chang, Songkhla, southern Thailand. 

 

Equipment worth 2 million baht was taken into evidence.

 

20,000 customers were on the books and 50 million baht was in circulation.
