Police in Phatthalung in southern Thailand said that a 25 year old man has surrendered to them in connection with the murder of a woman in the area six months ago.

The 28 year old woman - who INN did not name - was killed with a shotgun after being abducted in a vehicle by three men, shot and dumped by a klong.

The suspect was taken on a reenactment but said that he had not murdered the victim - just that he was present and took some part.

He said that he had been hiding out in Satun - also in southern Thailand  - and due to pressure from his mother and relatives had decided to surrender to police.
