Cabinet Approves Green Economic Plan

BANGKOK, Feb 9 (TNA) – The cabinet approved the Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) Model for implementation with a budget of over 40 billion baht in 2021-2027 fiscal years.

 

Government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said the BCG Model comprised four strategies. The first one is aimed at developing the sustainability of resources, biodiversity and cultural diversity with the balance between conservation and exploitation.

 

The second strategy deals with the development of communities and grassroot economies with resources, identities, creativity and new technologies. It is intended to expand regional economies by more than 50% from 2022 and raise income for at least 10 million people.
