Police in Bangkok investigating the death of a woman found cut up and floating in four places in three separate police jurisdictions now know who she is.

The grisly remains were found in the Chao Phraya River - Bangkok's main river - in Taling Chan, Buppharam and Bangkok Noi yesterday.

Following media reports of the finds relatives of the woman contacted police to say they recognized tattoos on her back, the color of her nails and accessories on the corpse.

She is Maneerat Krajokphap, a 28 year old woman who last contacted relatives on Monday.

Thai Rath reported their sources telling them that Maneerat lived in Soi Hatairat 33 (Bang Chan) with her family and other relatives.

But since taking a job in Ramkhamhaeng she was not often at home.

A Facebook post from relatives said: "May Paeng be in a better place".

Paeng appears to be the deceased's nickname.

On her own Facebook page of Por Paeng she had left a mournful and somewhat cryptic message that translates as:

"One day you will all miss me".

Police are studying CCTV in all three areas to try and get a lead in the case.

Hope they catch the bar-steward/s who did this n cut them up while they are conscious !

I heard this morning on the radio that she jumped off the bridge and it appears she was sliced up by a river boat, or several.

It was reported she was suicidal.
