Vaccine Booster

Yesterday I went to the MBK center in BKK for a booster jab that I had booked on the AIS website. All very easy, in and out in about 25 minutes, having had to wait a bit a few minutes for them to print off a new certificate.

I had wanted AZ but my wife said I couldn't, it would have to be Pfizer. I had seen on the original article about AIS that there would be a choice subject to available supply. As MBK only started on Thursday I thought there would be a pretty good chance, and I was right.

There was an added bonus, as we approached the reception desk my wife heard a guy ask this woman if she was registered or walk-in. My wife immediately asked the woman dealing with me if she could do a walk in,  she said what she had and when, the woman said no problem and gave here a form to fill in. Suddenly coming to BKK had been worthwhile, only last week she had tried to get a booster at the local hospital and was told it had to be 6 months between her 2nd Pfizer and the booster, she had only been about 4 months.

There was very few getting AZ so I went straight to a booth for vaccination, my wife only had to wait about 5 minutes before she was called forward. I had to wait a couple of minutes for my certificate but hers took about 10 minutes and then we were out the door, about 15 minutes before my appointment time, all very efficient.

I had originally tried to get appointment at Bang Sue and the earliest that could have been was 19th March.  Really lucky they rejected that application as when I tried again MBK had appeared.

As MBK has only just started up not many appear to be aware so there are early appointments available and walk-ins.

May not be like that for long, further info can be found here https://www.ais.th/vaccinesforthais/
