These new controlling tools they now freshly have acquired in their possession are the very unique opportunity they have been actively been seeking, wanting, needing for years and years to control and curtail it all.

Canadian hitmen scoff at these "controls".

thailand needs to get back to suckling at the teat of the foreign tourist.

They might keep a pre-departure COVID negative test, vaccination proof and insurance in place. All the other stuff: Day 1 & DAY 5, Thaialnd Pass/Test&Go/QR, will be dropped. Insurance will be dropped a bit farther out.

Improve it by getting rid of it.

and please get rid of those masks outside and on motorbike, they does not protect anything and anybody and are often placed under the nose!

If you want tourism resumes as before, follow some EU countries like Denmark, UK, France, and more are returning to a normal life like before covid! It's time to wake up come on! Covid has turned to inoffensive variants, less severe and less dangerous than the common flu..!

this new scheme is like beating a dead horse. It won't matter

They do not need to improve the time because they will not be a lot of  demand for this system.

Just imagine a happy traveler to Thailand will need to take 3 PCR test and wait 5 days for the result. If any of the test detected to be positive, be assured you will be dragged to the hospital for 7 days at a cost of Bht10,000/day... This happy traveler has burnt already 12 days of his vacation between quarantine and hospital .What beach can he enjoy ? and no honey to be with for the night?

I would love to see his face if he is still smiling.

why would any visitor will go through this hassle .? why people insists on visiting Thailand under these circumstances.?

One must read between the line for going to Thailand.

1.Pre-departure PCR test--->OK no problem

2. PCR test on arrival -NO need for vaccinated visitor. only an antigen test is enough

3. Insurance_ useless - it does not cover quarantine in a hospital but just medical treatment. so if you pay Bht 10,000 / day --you won't get it back.

added to the cost = $300 ins + hospital $2,100

4. No need any testing after 5 days

5. App to track you....OK if there is no test..

any scheme set up will work for people returning to Thailand or planning to stay for more than 60 days. Otherwise it is not worth it to visit Thailand now.

Fully vaccinated foreign tourists can now enter the Philippines starting February 10. Main requirements include: acceptable proof of vaccination, valid return tickets, passport valid for at least six months, and insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 35,000.00

And even this vaccin bs has to get rid of the list. What about people who had their shots about 4/ months ago? The vaccin will not have its function anymore. Then ask for a booster over and over again? Dont think that will work. A test must be enough if they stay in the scared mode.

They will follow them, no doubt when it comes to lifting restrictions... but that would not be yet would it? Thankfully Thailand overall did far better than any of the countries you cited, Denmark had over 2x the per capita Covid deaths, France and UK, well over 6x.

Doesn't really matter.  Pharma corps already got their paycheck.

It e we I’ll always be a hassle because it’s the military mindset…control????????????

At least someone who gets it.

After the next elections, we shall see. Until then? Nah, not happening. Those in control at the top of the food chain are lining up their pockets.

I would suggest that the results of the next elections are already known. They are only having elections as a public relations exercise to both their population and to the world.  They have already determined the winners!

Singapore is going down to one rapid test on arrival for vaccinated travellers from 21 Feb.

No quarantine

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/askst-what-are-the-latest-land-sea-and-air-border-measures-do-i-still-need-to-take-covid-19-pcr-tests-to-travel

Form that article:

The new measure means that most arrivals not under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme will face a seven-day isolation requirement, regardless of which country they are from.

Short Term Visitors (STV) have some extra requirements too.

https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/vtl/travel-checklist

Quite a lengthy checklist.

[Short Term Visitors] Purchase travel insurance with a minimum coverage of S$30,000 against COVID-19 related medical charges. Travellers may be insured with a Singapore or overseas-based insurer. For the list of available travel insurance products offered in Singapore

It always sounds so easy in other countries, until you peek under the covers.

No Quarantine in Australia for international tourist or returning residents. Only need to be fully Vaccinated.

Come on Thailand get with the program.

For the fully-vaccinated, there's been no quarantine in Canada since at least October, 2021, and only a pre-flight PCR test to show. In Toronto, masks were optional on the street, with most people not wearing any.

But starting Feb. 28, 2022, no PCR tests needed, only an antigen test 24 hours before your initial flight. So in short, arrive in Canada and carry on life.

Did you hear that Thailand?
