Just had one of those 15 item packages at a lab and everything good except eosinophil is high at 10% last year 8%, normal range 1-3%, he didn't highlight it last year or this year. I've done the usual google searches, anyone have real life experiences with it? I don't want to waste my time on a wild goose chase at a hospital if I don't need to

The differential percentages are not necessarily  meaningful if the overall White Blood Count is normal.

You need to calculate your absolute eosinophil count. What is the total WBC?

WBC seems to be 6,500, within the 4,000-11,000 range

OK so your absolute eosinophil count is 650.

Anything above 500 is eosinophilic.

Common causes are allergy and parasites. Are you an allergy sufferer?

Used to have allergies and asthma, not for years. Is there some kind of parasites that Thais get through food? no symptoms anywhere

You might want to consider deworming empirically (Albendazole 400mg once a day for 3 days  then repeat  a week later ---  will cover roundworm, hookworm, strongyloides and some other parasites.).

Alternatively you could get stool test for ova & parasites. If so it needs at least 3 separate specimens and even then can have false negatives (hence first suggestion).

Then wait a couple of months and recheck CBC.

If this doesn't reduce the eosinophil count usual next step would be to stop all nonessential medications (including supplements,) and retest a month or so after that....medications of all types can sometimes cause this.

All the above assume you remain asymptomatic. If you develop a rash, breathing trouble or other symptoms then see a doctor. But for asymptomatic eosinophilia at mild level this (deworming, meds) would be the normal approach.

Thanks I'll give that a shot ????

Your report photo looks familiar same place I have gone to for blood tests.

Don't want to get too specific about my experience due to defamation, but I would suggest getting another test at another lab or hospital just to be sure.  Suggest possibly look at CCS lab on Thap prasit road Jomtien.
