Is a letter of invitation OK to use as "evidence of long-stay accommodation" for STV visa application?

Featured Replies

The invitation letter will be accepted for the STV application

Please define STV.

Special Tourist Visa

It allows a 90 day stay when entering the country and then two 90 day extensions.

It may depend on the country one applies from. I was emphatically told by the Thai Embassy In Phnom Penh that they will nto accept this and that only hotel booking is allowed (or personal condo ownership).

Thanks, I called the LA embassy: they don't accept invitation letters.

The embassy is in Washington DC. LA is a official Thai consulate. Are you living within the LA consulates area of responsibility?

You could reserve a hotel, condo or such for 90 days and then cancel it after getting you visa approved.
