My long term girlfriend and her daughter are visiting the UK in May. They are not jabbed and was wondering, what hoops they have to jump. I know they must take a test 72 hrs before leaving Thailand, but what do they need for their return to Thailand from UK. I understand things change. Just trying to prepare for future hoops.  Thanks guys

From the UK government website

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19#if-you-are-not-fully-vaccinated

If you are not fully vaccinated

Travelling with children

Note: The links mentions the PCR test, passenger locator forms etc

On return to Thailand you need to complete the Thai Pass scheme.

PCR test 72 hrs prior to arriving in Thailand, one day hotel stay to confirm Covid free. Another non-PCR test on day 5.

This could all change by May though...

Assuming both have visas etc...

1) Travel: Thailand to UK:

- PCR test taken within 2 days of travelling to Thailand (if in BKK - https://www.medconsultasia.com)

[ i think it is only the Adult which who needs the PCR test ]

[ Note: airline requirements may also required child to take a PCR test ]

- A Pre-Paid RT-PCR test to be taken upon arrival in the UK (adult only - no test required for <17yrs old)

[Randox provide the best service for this £43 https://covid.randox.com/day-2-test-at-home/]

- Passenger locator form (completed <48 hours prior to departure from Thailand).

2) Return to Thailand:

- Thailand pass application (ASQ) https://tp.consular.go.th/en/plan

- Unvaccinated arrivals need Pre-paid 10 Day ASQ accommodation

- PCR test <72 hrs before departure (adult and child)

They are unvaccinated: Upon return to Thailand, under current regulations they need to do ASQ for 10 days (Pre-paid which includes Airport Transfers and 2x PCR tests).

As you mentioned, this could very well change by May.
