Can re-entry stamp be transfer to new passport

Recommended Posts

When transfer existing visa and 12 month extension to new passport, can re-entry stamp from old passport be transferred or used as well? Or is it required to pay for new reentry permit with new passport?

Thanks for advice

OP, be aware that reentry permit will only be transfered where it was issued.

I always obtain mine at airport.

When I last had stamps transferred at CW the reentry permit desk told me to go to DMK (where it was issued).

I just traveled with both passports for 6 months no problem..

You cannot transfer the re-entry permit to a new passport, but (like visas) re-entry permits in an old passport can continue to be used in conjunction with your new passport.

Some offices will transfer the re-entry permit to the new passport, as confirmed by UJ. Buriram is one such office that does this (they did for me anyway)
