Russian tourists significantly drop to Phuket, but Phuket tourist operators say they are excited about projected increase in Indian tourists

"A major tourist operator has noticed a sharp decline in Russian tourists " ............... Well observed!......no flies on you!

I wonder if the banning of Russian airlines from air space in other countries and the difficulties they are having with being locked out of the global money supply chain, ATMs not working, the devaluation and collapse of the Russian rouble could have anything to do with it? Just a wild guess!

The girls will be really pi$$ed at this news.

They’ll just have to work harder—more hours, multiple clients…

A lot of bigotry against Indians by ordinary Thais. Which is funny, seeing as how half Thailand's culture comes from India.

Try telling a Thai that the original Buddha came from what is now India and they look at you with disbelief.

Which tells you what Thais know about Buddhism, Thailand's history, geography, and about education in Thailand in general...

Very true.

Thai Buddhism is mixed with Animism which was the previous religion here. Hence the unshakable belief in lucky objects, amulets and tattoos

Yes, it's well known that Indians are big spenders.  They will save Pattaya tourism for sure.

The drinking straw companies will sure be pleased.

They were like Phipat, hoping for quality not quantity.

Yep , 5 Indians for the price of 1 farang customer !

Well, in Thailand it's all about quantity

(= number of arrivals). - 5 Indians, staying for 10 days, are more welcome than 1 Swiss or American staying for 180 days.

My post refers to 5 Indians trying to do a deal with a Thai lady and paying her the same as 1 farang customer!
