Try reading the article , the marijuana being promoted has very little or no THC , you cannot get high on it.

I suspect the Thai people already know what part of and which gender  cannabis plant tourists will pay for and are playing the game until they can grow it legally. It's only the government clowns that are being played right now.

 

I've watched this game play out in America, state by state, for years and know how it will end here. Eventually the tourists will be happy with their 'salt scrubs' and the government will be happy with their tax revenue. Just give it another year or two for the whole drama to unfold.

You dont get munchies from CBD, only from THC, which the male plants possess  very little of.  Thats why they con the people by only letting them grow them.  The male plants ruin the potency of female plants, and turn them male.  I can't tell you the number of people I met in Pattaya who thought they were being served CBD from boiled leaves filtered like coffee grounds  as it only comes in an oil form what they were given was fake.    The bud/flower, which has the medication is what needs to be extracted in oil form or smoked to get any real benefits,  and they would say oh!  I feel good. I feel funny.  This stuffs great.  And it was all fake sold to them.  A real drink or beverage  with three drops of CBD would cost at least 200thb a drink, as the small bottles of real stuff cost over 2000 thb.  Its just one big scam.

Agreed, and there's always a few such ill-informed dinosaurs clutching their pearls about how much more deadly Thai drivers will become under the influence, as if that were even possible. LOL.

Incindentally I'd like some guidance on where to obtain the 'hallucinating cannabis' you mention; it sounds very intriguing.

I been around this block for over 50 years and never had any hallucinations from cannabis of any type. I expect there would be a price premium but it's probably worth the cost. Please PM  me with details. ????

They wont be bringing happiness to the people up my way thats for sure.  The Poo Yai Ban has been announcing daily over the village speaker system for people to form the cooperatives required to register to grow weed..... no-one is interested because they dont trust each other to come up with the starting capital not to steal the crop.   Many are happy to do it on their own but government wont allow it.

"Skunk" from Holland comes pretty close - I think I had an "out of body" experience once with it while listening to "War of the Worlds" on headphones in a darkened room!

No I dont think males, I believe not yet showing sex.  They look a bit stringy  and stretched out like males but that is probably due to poor lighting and the leaves are quite narrow indicating a lack of humidity.  In any case they would have to be totally clueless growing that many males as one small plant would spread sufficient male pollen to cater for over a rai of females unless you really want lots of seeds.  But you just never know here.....lol!

There are always those who believe that morality can be legislated, similar to the religious zealots that spend their lives proselytizing (annoying) their neighbors while offering no evidence to support their rants. Fear is a time honored tool of those wishing to control others.

 

They become self-appointed experts in how people should live, and simply ignore any evidence to the contrary of  their opinions.

 

As marijuana legalization moved across the United States government authorities funded study after study to prove that cannabis would raise traffic death tolls. Needless to say, no substantial evidence was found; that ship sailed years ago. At the time it seemed as intuitively obvious as cannibis use lowering the blood sugar levels of users, hence the 'munchies'. Of course that is also false, otherwise it would be a huge boon to diabetes patients.

 

Some people cling to any idea that forwards their argument regardless of its veracity. It's called 'willful ignorance' and is just a quirk of human nature.

No doubt there is some pretty potent weed around these days and it can be a real kick occasionally. I hear ya, party on dude!

 

Certainly with the correct 'set and setting' as Timothy Leary said, drug experiences can be enhanced. Telling ghost stories in a darkened room is with proper mood music is an example.

The somatic experience can also be varied and intense at times, so could qualify as a physical hallucination (out of body), and there can be auditory hallucinations as well. But true visual hallucinations, not colorful geometric patterns and 'breathing walls', generally only happen under high doses of true ethnobotanicals such as DMT, LSD, mescaline, and psilocybin. They can be pretty unsettling even to experienced users, and potentially very dangerous. Synesthesia, the scrambling of sensory input is also common with low doses of psychedelics, and can be pretty entertaining too for short periods. Hearing color, seeing music, feeling smells,etc. Some poor souls are afflicted with this naturally.

 

I was really just poking some gentle fun because a trip heavy enough to cause true hallucinations is generally pretty uncomfortable in other ways. I don't take such excursions here  in my later (wiser?) years.

I can tell you from a country where it was legalized nothing happened here.  IT's all horse hockey but that doesn't matter - when your truth is ruled by delusion and you can pronounce outright lies as victories there is little doubt that this will be hugely successful.
