See the same story every day. In Thailand, not only are roadside poles magnetic but lorries are invisible.

Edit: Make that several times a day. Another report: A 16-year-old female driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after she crashed her motorbike into a trailer truck in Sri Racha.

Dawn is one of the worst times of day to be driving The Police are investigating if the truck was legally parked as the driver had pulled over for a sleep, going by the photo he was not and  my guess is without lights on,

One of the main dangers of over taking at speed on the inside, not suggested the case here, but its a dangerous manoeuvre where there could be parked vehicles or slow moving vehicles pulling out into the left lane

what also doesnt help is when trucks park so that they are sticking out on the road(have seen then taking up half the lane) or in areas with no lighting, the ones that hit them are at fault but the way the trucks are parked doesnt help and would be illegal in most countries

All valid points, I agree. However, a good driver should drive at a speed suitable for the conditions and a speed which will enable him to stop if he sees something ahead that is a hazard. Yes, the truck may have been poorly parked, but it is your responsibility to be able to  control your vehicle to try and avoid such hazards.

Bottom  line here is the driver probably won't be driving again and he won't be able to forget he was responsible for someone's death.
