Yes, I can, that's not correct.   Marrying a Thai does not mean that you're encumbered with her debts incurred in her sole name before marriage.

It's not just about potential forgeries, neither is it about "f***ing morons", it's about access to the actual document that may need to receive a stamp or notation, for instance.  Have you ever tried to remove a paper document from it's lamination?  Try it and see what happens.
