Thai Rath reported that the so called seven deadly days on the Songkran roads were now in full swing.

Highlighting the perils on the Thai roads they had a report of a collision between a husband and wife on a Honda Wave motorcycle and a Toyota Fortuner.

It happened in Muang Phatthalung on the Chaiburi Road at a bend in the road.

Somporn, 50, and Janthana, 43, had just left their house 2 kms away to go and make fertilizer.

Someone can verify…..I think more accidents actually occur around breakfast time or slightly after.  This one at night……but be careful until lunch.  Then at 2 pm it’s dangerous again.

Very sad ..... but how many times do you see them park their vehicles  on a bend in the road,  on the brow of a hill etc ...

More road sense can  stop these accidents...........maybe

According to previous years statistics, most accidents occur  between 4 and 8 pm.

People change during Songkran. This morning I went shopping at Makro at 7.30 am and the place was busy, usually no one there at this time. But not just Makro everywhere like they all s--t their beds

I thought that more recently, because of increased awareness, statistically, the 7 deadly days are actually marginally safer than the other 358.
