Immigration closure for Songkran?

Featured Replies

Is it safe to assume everything is closed until Monday the 18th and no sense trying to do online 90-day report before then?

Immigration offices are closed until the 18th.

You could do a online 90 day report but it will not be processed until the 18th at the earliest.

I reported on the 12th at 8am online, still pending. Due on 20th so I'm feeling in a bit of a bind. Do I resubmit on night of 17th? No approval, go to PO on 19th? Arrggh...

12th, last day before holidays and offices usually busy and same day is not a rule.

Even at quiet Khon Kaen it came morning next day.

? PO = post office? Postal mail?
That might be too late. They expect it to arrive before due date.

Your latest for report in person would be Tuesday 26th.

I do online as early as possible (two weeks before due date).

Would have been the 6th in your case.

I was, perhaps stupidly, having lived here a long time, trying to be thrifty with the advance. 15 days early equals 60 days a year, 3/4 of an extra report! Anyway, I have proof I filed so that may keep me in the good books. I think I'll report again on 19th if I haven't gotten approval.

Foolish to think some poor grunt would be manning the helm...

Visit your assigned immigration office on the 18th in person with the completed documents, suffer the inconvenience and travel cost but enjoy 'peace of mind.' Or send someone on the 18th to lodge it for you. One doesn't need to appear in person. Trying to guess what might or might not eventuate with an online application or snail mailing is unnecessary stressful.

TM47 site was crashed as of 9am Friday 15th. Guess too many people filed over Songkran & there was no one to keep the website going over new year. Schiesse!
