Have you ever driven an MG EV Richard?

They drive exceptionally well.

We’ve had the MG EP+ and the MG4, both fine cars.

Hell no... Being a passenger is enough....!!!

Seriously though - I'm just ribbing MG's for fun as some posters have been waxing a little too lyrical about them for too long now and really, they're just an average A to B machine....

(by waxing lyrical - I mean those posters who'd over egg the pudding and suggest they drive 'exceptionally well'.... when really, they get from A to B in relative comfort without hassle).

You guys are hilarious 😂 😃

Back in 2023 when EV sales numbers were growing at double digits, every EVangelist walking the earth 🌎 were parading the numbers like it was the second homecoming of baby Jesus 👶 himself.

Now that EV sales numbers firmly are in negative territory, then nobody cares 😊 😃 😀 😄

The only way you like to play is like this....

images(40).jpeg.576b25557dade9059863c3edafcd880d.jpeg

I may be hilarious but you are just plain sad.

I never ever bothered about how many EVs were sold compared to ICEVs nor do I care (or believe) in the second coming (actually, a case can be made that if JC was an alien, then it’s conceivable that one of his kin might visit Earth a second time).

All I can say is that having owned many ICEVs in the past, ranging from a claptrap like the Daihatsu Charade to premium European (German) cars, my current (very affordable) EV and PHEV suits my requirements to a T as well as providing excellent comfort and performance and technological advancements.

I’ve never been on an oil rig; I would never comment on what the conditions are like. It’s clear you’ve never driven an EV; yet you criticise them. Sad…

Somebody waxes lyrical about MG’s? Never!!!

I have no idea who you could be talking about, @KhunLA can you shed any light on who this could be that Richard is talking about?

The NETA EV looks like a failed plastic 80's Fisher-Price toy, where someone tried to crossbreed a potato with a suppository.

The front end has all the charisma of a half 'farted' whoopee cushion, with headlights positioned like an asean-now boomer needing a poop while stuck on Pattaya Soi 6...

Step inside, and you’re greeted by an interior that feels like it was constructed from melted bar-stool seats found on Soi 6 mixed with tupperware and the shattered dreams of failed SAS hero's and financial power-players...

The touchscreen lags so much half the asean-now boomers who'd drive it would pass-on before the input is registered and the seats have the comfort of plastic noodle stall stool...

Driving is like piloting the aging mamasan in the wonky-nipp!e bar; zero excitement and sloppy with an overwhelming sense of regret.

The worst thing about driving the NETA EV? the engine can't drown out the sobs of embarrassment...    something MG drivers can relate to !!!  :giggle: :passifier:

same as always, it's personal; actually I live much more the appearance of Neta compared to MG4, so what?

If Neta is that ugly, horrible inside and low performing, why matched MG in 2024? cannot say only because of the price

Even more than AION or Ora good cat (that for me is the most horrible ahah)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like the way the MG4 looks, but I feel the cabin lets it down.

I often wonder why some classically beautiful cars are not reintroduced by the manufacturer as full EV’s with modern suspension and construction techniques.

For example IMHO the Jaguar E type series 3 roadster in my opinion is the most beautiful sports car ever made.

The Ford Granada Ghia Saloon mk1 was one of the most beautiful saloon cars ever made.

These two examples command incredibly high prices for good examples now.

I saw a (Jaguar) Daimler Van den Plas 4.2 in stunning condition on One2car recently for about 800,000 baht, I did think about buying it and converting it to EV.

I think they should bring back the Ford Scorpio Mk II Saloon - what a looker!

"Thailand is in early discussions with carmakers to introduce a car trade-in and scrapping scheme in a bid to revive an industry hit by its biggest crisis in decades, three industry officials and two sources said.

Output in the Southeast Asian automobile hub, besieged by a flood of new electric vehicles (EVs), has plummeted for more than a year"
