77kaoded reported that a cultural market street in Phangnga was doing a roaring trade every Sunday evening.

The Takuapa Old Town market is proving a hit with locals and Thai and foreign tourists.

The media published many pictures of foreigners with food on sticks, drinks and buying delicious fried snacks.

The market runs for 500 meters in length and is picking up trade every week as Thailand opens up more and more.

But it is not just the food and knick-knacks - there are also dance performances to add that special Thai cultural flavor for the visitors.

Organiser Santisuk Na Thalang said that the local TAT office and local authorities had been working together to promote activities in the street.

It was originally opened in 2007 but has only recently picked up again after Covid restrictions.

It is open every Sunday from 3 - 8 pm in Takuapa.

Is Pattaya picking up? How is the nightlife now?

As I wrote in another thread: soi Buakhao,  soi lenkee soi lk metro very very busy. Really noisy and rammed with people and many bars filled to capacity. Like high season pre covid. 5 soi Pratumnak also very busy. The six new restaurants on Cosy beach doing well. Weekend traffic at bank holiday weekend indicates many bangcockians here. Jomtien and Dongtan beach busy. A far cry from  this time last year.
