For those ol pals and the curious I will be back at the ol' homestead up in the hills next week. I have become fatter and balder, heck just plain uglier, but no less irrascible. I should be partially coherent from the jet lag by the weekend and looking for fellow imbibers as it is my rare vacation time. I will try to host some sort of get together similar to my previous party for the SCT crowd a few years ago or at least a dinner down in Mae Rim. The road is now paved all the way to the in-laws house and beyond to the Mong village so all vehicles are welcome even in the rains.

There is still no phone lines in the village but I hope to check e-mail and this forum once every other day or so at the local Internet cafe where the dek wat from across the street all dressed in their new robes spend hours playing shoot-up games and looking at porn. And you wondered why those monks like to wear lose robes!?!
