In the Excellence Building they apparently don't have an anesthesiologist, and I had a colonoscopy once under those conditions. Once was enough to see one's inside scrolling by. So I went to Ram for a colonoscopy. A polyp was seen but not removed or biopsied.

Why on earth was the polyp not removed snd biopsed? Should have been

  • I have found that Sripat is indeed NOT really any cheaper nowadays .   Disappointing.

  • It would cost you substantially more now for the same care at the same hospital. Private hospital costs have skyrocketed in recent years.

Not addressing your question directly but many doctors work in a number of hospitals, private and public. The general difference is the waiting time in the public hospital and general facilities.

Doc said that it was not dangerous.

1. Impossible to state this without biopsy.

2. Even when benign polyps can later turn malignant.

Finding and removing polyps in early stage is one of the key purposes/benefits of having a colonoscopy.

I suppose it depends on what services you receive. I was quoted a price of 150 to 160,000 baht for cataract surgery at Chiang Mai Ram. Last September I had the surgery at Sripat for 89,000 baht, with extremely outstanding results. I'd say a saving of 61 to 71,000 baht means that Sripat is, indeed, cheaper.

i was quoted 160000 for Laporascopic surgery at Ram and 150000 at Sriphat. hardly a savings

150k quote currently at Sriphat for Cataract surgery. - total for both eyes.

Was the 89k for 1 eye only?
