Poll – Majority agree with no face masks outdoors, 2am closure of nightspots

More than 65% of the respondents to an opinion poll, conducted by Thailand’s National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), said they agree with the proposals to ease the outdoor mask wearing mandate and extend the closing time for nightlife venues to 2 am, instead of midnight.

Mystery human skull found at derelict school building in Ranong

Siam Rath reported that female police captain Ratchadaporn Moryadee of the Muang Ranong police in southern Thailand was alerted after a member of the public found part of a human skull on the ground floor of a derelict school building in Khao Niwet sub-district.

Cannabis in food and for use in Thailand sees brisk sales following decriminalisation

Cannabis has suddenly become a fad among many Thai eateries, which are openly offering food and drinks containing cannabis after the plant, as well as hemp, were removed from the illegal narcotics yesterday (Thursday).

Well known Thai touring cyclist killed by a truck in Nakhon Ratchasima

Locally famous Thai cyclist, Nirantra Phramthong, who had travelled to numerous countries with his bicycle, was struck by a ten-wheel truck and killed yesterday (Thursday), while riding along a road in Thailand’s north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima. He was a 53-year-old native of Pran Buri district in Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Over 17,000 complaints about Bangkok filed via new platform in first 11 days

The new online “Traffy Fondue” platform, launched by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) under its new governor Chadchart Sittipunt, received 17,811 complaints from Bangkok residents in its first 11 days, revealing many everyday problems in the capital.
