Concern for the Thai baht and liquidity if Thailand does not move swiftly to raise interest rates

On Monday last, before Wednesday’s meeting of the Bank of Thailand’s Monetary Policy Committee, the Minister of Finance Arkhom Termpittayapaisith expressed a wish to see Thailand maintain a low-interest-rate environment to encourage the economic recovery.

Thailand Considering An End to Pandemic-Era Entry Requirements

Thailand’s main COVID-19 task force may accept a proposal to end the pandemic-era Thailand Pass pre-travel registration program for international travelers during an upcoming meeting on June 17; if accepted, Thailand Pass could end as early as next month.

Thailand's May consumer inflation reaches 14-year high

Thailand's May consumer inflation rose to the highest level since July 2008. The Ministry of Commerce attributed the CPI growth to higher food prices and energy costs.

Sri Racha, Chonburi — The parents of a 12-year-old injured girl met with an accused teacher, who allegedly injured her by making her do 60 squat jumps as a class group punishment, to settle the dispute. The teacher would reportedly take care of the hospital bill.

Pattaya locals perplexed by freshly painted zig-zag lines on roads, police claim it helps slow down drivers
