Kamala – The Kamala Tambol Administrative Organisation will install nets to block garbage from flowing into the sea.

 

A meeting was held yesterday (June 12th) for environmental plans. Mr. Jutha Dumluck, the Tambol Administrative Organisation Chief told the Phuket Express, “We will install large nets at three areas to prevent garbage flowing into the sea.

This is good and Thailand is doing their part but did you ever think that the sea's are so polluted now with  Chinese human waste dumping and countries that will dump anything and everything into the sea. We need them to do their part as well to clean up the seas But good job Thailand and get all that plastic..

Does he have the manpower and budget to actually clear the nets of the garbage they capture before they fail and let the lot through?

A resort I won't name spent $$$ on a beach cleaning machine, it filled up, then someone thought of how to empty it and cart away the rubbish.

 

It sat for a considerable time, full and festering, before it vanished never to return ???? 

Give credit where it is due. They are at least taking a step towards dealing with the shocking amount of packaging pollution that is created by Thai citizens and farangs. It is no wonder that citizens have negative attitudes about "know it all foreigners" because their efforts are so often unjustifiably belittled. Brits seem not to acknowledge fact that their rivers are horribly polluted with raw sewage because the water treatment operators release it daily across their country. So until they have dealt with that & more they have no right to belittle others, just like Americans, Australians, and most of the rest of the world who are killing our planet.

Better invest in a waste water treatment facility instead of buying a submarine with no engine.
