But the point remains that for a normal average person it is a mystery why Thailand is still providing covid-extensions, when basically the whole world has reopened. Perhaps connected to the emergency decree?

 

Because tourist arrivals so far are way below pre-covid times. And they simply make it easier for tourists to stay longer and spend money in the country.

      I really doubt they will extend again once Thailand pass/insurance is removed on july 1st. Covid extensions are actually really unfair on people who paid 600k baht for a 5 year Elite Visa just before

    And then they couldn't get into the country after covid started lol. That is really unfair!
