Please recommend a dentist to pull a tooth.

Interested in a specific dentist name rather than e.g. "The XYZ Company".

Someone you know is excellent for this task, and (at least ideally) with very good bedside manner and very good English.

Thank you.

The MedCMU Dental Hospital on Suthep Rd., a little past Sripat Hospital.

They have done extractions, caps, and a bridge for me in the recent past.

All to my complete satisfaction.

  • Thumbs Up 1

As mentioned, is there a specific dentist there?

I have been treated by several at different times and never had an issue with any of them.

It is part of CMU and the standards are very high.

The general rule of thumb with dentists in Thailand is get a male dentist (the bigger the better) for extractions and a female dentist for cleaning & fillings.

If you just need to pull a teeth it does really not matter at all, where you go. Will need to wait or see another specialist for an implant later on anyway. Else you might be waiting for appointments longer than needed too.

I wouldn't worry or wait too long. Pulling a tooth is a relatively basic task for any dentist. I've  had several whipped out over here including a nasty wisdom tooth A couple of shots of novocaine and away you go. No need to worry about english skills or bedside manner you'll be in and out of the chair in 15 min max. If you leave it too long and get an abscess you will regret it as things will get a whole lot worse and more expensive of course

I went to a Uni dental hospital (not CMU) last week and had 2 from ones pulled.

A most excellent experience, one Wednesday went for impression, 2400B - that's for the impression and to make to teeth.

Returned the next Wednesday, the guy who pulls teeth walked in, just a kid, perfect English, explained the procedure "this is going to hurt in 1,2,3 and" inject, yeah that was painful, waited 5 mins, covered my face with the cloth - pop, two teeth out, I didn't feel a thing, I couldn't move my mouth for 2 hours, it was awesome - OD on novacain - the false ones were fitted another 1400B. No problems for a week, didnt even need paracetamol to kill any pain.

bedside manner ?? Once he gave me the two shots and covered my face, it may have been a leggy Swedish blonde with huge breasts or my mother in law that pulled the teeth, I had no reason to care.

A big thumbs up for the university dental hospital experience.

I've had several teeth pulled at Elite Smile in Chiang Mai, male dentist and almost painless. They used to be at Pantip Plaza, don't know where they are now.

Female dentists IME will refer extractions to a male dentist, as they don't have the required hand and wrist strength.

They haven't used Novocaine in something like 40 years!

Elite closed down as a result of practically no business during Covid and extremely high rents. Dr. Krisada and a couple of the other dentists opened a new practice nearby. I can't recall the name unfortunately even though I was there recently. It's a rather generic name like Dental Clinic or something like that. If you go to the old location, there is still a sign posted with the new telephone number and LINE and a map of the new location (just a short walk from Panthip).

Score 87.4 on the 100 point scale for excellence in removing teeth.

Bedside manner not rated since she avoids bed sides.

English yes.

That's what he says.

He has always a few tools in his bag.

Are they only dental tools?

No no no.

Just attach the string on your tooth and to a pole,  hop on the bike and take off quickly leaving string and tooth behind.  Drink Sangsom do not go to dental office.

They abandoned the whole Elite name and entity due to "bad luck" and formed a new partnership. Looks like they recently updated their old Facebook page to direct traffic to the new business "Dental Studio" is the name.
