Popular Post webfact Posted June 21, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 21, 2022 Sanook Thai Caption: (Thai) man cuts his penis off after paranoid "ganja" attack A story published by Sanook showed the extraordinary lengths that Thai media is going to "report" anything about marijuana. Some would say not lengths, but depths. Though this story is also about length. This comes as the country is gripped by "ganja fever" following legalization on June 9th. They put out a story from a site called IFL Science that bills itself as "The Lighter Side of science," notes ASEAN NOW. It's a conspiracy-cum-quasi scientific nonsense site that purports to be following the science. Yesterday's headlines were about a new gonorrhea strain in an Austrian man, Hercules' missing marble head found on a 2,000 year old shipwreck and "summer penis not being a real thing". Get the idea? Sanook didn't caution about any of this instead relating the story about what allegedly happened to a 23 year old Thai man in....wait for it...January. According to the story - backed up by "Biomed Central" - the man was a frequent marijuana user who took a three months break before smoking two grams of the drug in a bong. His penis started swelling out of control and the top was wonky. After having a snip he removed his penis with scissors in the paranoid attack. Doctors couldn't reattach the Thai member due to dirt and ants and there was only a 2 cm stump left. Toxicology showed only marijuana in the system and not even alcohol. The man was allegedly given mental evaluations. For the full story - or laugh - go to the IFL Science site but we're giving it a fact check warning. And further suggesting to Sanook - normally a reasonable outlet for Thai news - to warn their readers about the sources of some of their stories. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-06-21 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. "Baby boomer" is a term used to describe a person who was born between 1946 and 1964. According to dictionary.com: "OK boomer"—dismisses a person from that generation (and older people more generally) as out of touch, close-minded, and part of the problem. The specific slang expression OK boomer took off in early 2019, issued especially from millennials and Generation Z as a reply or reaction to older users (lumped together as baby boomers) who posted content that condescended to younger generations or provoked their sensibilities. So, IMO, it's a derogatory term from someone in another (younger) age group telling the older person they are out of touch. Just for the record, my generation would never eat Tide pods as a viral challenge ???? 2 2

OK, let me try. First of all, 2 grams is about 3 or 4 joints. With the level of THC in today's ganga, I would have simply passed out, after 5 hits! What on earth was this guy thinking? Who on earth engages in this kind of action? Why such compulsive and addictive behavior? What does that come from? I can think of many other far more productive things to relieve a swollen member. But, scissors? A paranoid attack? This serves to reinforce some of my prior posts about ganga's potential to create mental problems. Sure, if you are unstable, bent, really messed up in the head, or have some sort of major mental health issues, ganga can put you over the top, just like many powerful drugs can. But, what percent of folks who get high are this abnormal and twisted in the head? 3 1

Popular Post chalawaan Posted June 21, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 21, 2022 This guy is clinically disturbed. Cannabis is no more to blame than were he to have taken alcohol and mutilated himself. Yes, It didn't help his disturbed condition, no, it does not follow that other cannabis users, even disturbed ones, will embark on a spree of penilectomies. But that's what the gutter press want you to believe. 3 1

Ezzra mate, have a Chamomile Tea, and a nice hash cookie. Thailand is not about to enter a state of anarchy. You may notice more glassy-eyed Thai smiles, and more pizza box litter, the odd smell of ganga will waft you way, but that's about the worst that will happen. The road toll won't worsen, stoners won't shoot-up schools and malls, Khun Prayuth won't make more sense when listening to him while stoned. Relax, everything will be just fine! 6 2 5

In another news report, sales of Viagra have dropped drastically. Viagra et al has been a controlled drug in Thailand for some time now, it's only legally available on Doctors prescription. If a pharmacy/street vendor is selling it, or any variation, it's likely bogus or expired stock. Import is strictly controlled. You may be lucky and get bootleg genuine Kamagra or Apcalis, as always, buyer beware. 3 1
Popular Post SunnyinBangrak Posted June 21, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 21, 2022 This is terrifying. I will never use marijuana again after reading how the drug directly caused this poor guy to cut his thingie off. To sleep every night I will eat a couple of diazepams on script, and to start the day in a good positive frame of mind I'll have a pint of Famous Grouse and then probably finish 1 or 2 bottles a day. You have to keep healthy. 2 2

I think we can conclude this type of event is definitely an exception rather than the rule and should not be presented as anything else. If he had done it whilst drunk would alcohol be banned no and for good reason. 1

I strongly recommend you to go to the nearest shop and get yourself a joint, go back home, light up and lighten up. All those horror stories are just that - stories. Millions (if not billions) of people have been smoking and eating that staff for thousands of years. In Thailand as well, only quietly as long as it was illegal. The only be thing now is that it became legal so all those that have been using for long time quietly do it openly now. And yes, surely people who were afraid of the police before will try it now for the first time but hey, every day there are new alcohol drinkers and new cigarettes smokers. Just give it another couple of weeks or a month and the media will find something new to write about. 3

If I was cynical I would say this was a plot by Anutin to distract the population during 2021/2022 regarding Covid that has decimated the economy and tourist trade for the last 2 years. Rushing the bill through before thinking it through and all it's ramifications. Now legal no-one really knows what they can or can't do with the stuff, although some are already stuffing it into anything they can sell. Another complete and utter farce. 1 1
