This is the way it is done in the UK in the event of the PM resigning. We're not the USA. We don't vote for a President - we elect a party based on the number of MP's that win their seats. In the event of the PM resigning the party in power retains power (since we didn't vote for Boris as President) and the members of that party choose a new leader. It's a great system. Maybe you guys could convert? 1

Chomper Higgot
Truss or Sunak, they are offering diametrically opposed policies. The respective votes tell you how many Tories won’t be happy with the outcome. Minus the 4000 Tories who haven’t yet grasped why Johnson isn’t on the ballot. G7 members include non E.U Countries such as Japan, USA and Canada . You compared the U.Ks inflation rate to non E.U Countries to suggest that Brexit is the reason for the U.Ks high inflation rate and they are faring better .
