How long before travelling to apply visa reentry permit ?

Featured Replies

as above ,

my wife is worried that at airport will take too long to apply.

and usually how many days if applying at the immigration office at the city i am in ?

thx , regrds,

There is no waiting period to get a re-entry permit. (besides the customers in front of you in the queue). Go to immigration, wait to be served, get a re-entry permit.

It only takes a few minutes to apply for a re-entry permit and have it issued at either airport in Bangkok.

You can apply for a re-entry permit at any time. You can get it on the day your apply for a new extension of stay (it is not a visa) and use it at anytime during the year.

A single re-entry permit is 1000 baht and a multiple is 3800 baht and both of them are valid to the day your extension ends.

Got one at the airport in June to 15 mins  and significant less hassel than going to Immigration .. filling out forms, photocopies, photo etc, non of that at the airport just your passport ..

As been told you can get it at the airport. The IO officer will also remind you or ask you if you want to get a re entry or not. Thats what happened to me. If you say yes he will lead you where you can get it.

Airport is better than the immigration in city. It takes really short time to get it at the airport. Its a counter before you reach to passport check.
