Marriage visa under consideration

Featured Replies

Is it possible to travel outside Thailand when a marriage visa is still under consideration.

Much appreciated if anyone can share an experience regarding this.

You can travel while on a under consideration period if you apply a re-entry permit that will be valid to the report back date on the under consideration stamp.

Thanks for that Joe.

I am changing from Non O retirement to marriage visa, I still have a multiple re-entry visa valid until November.

I will need to check if it is still valid with the marriage visa under consideration status.

When you change the reason for your extension of stay (it is not a visa) from retirement to marriage you new extension will start from the day you apply for it. That would mean your existing re-entry permit would no longer be valid.

You will need to get a new re-entry permit valid for the length of the under consideration period.
