Sattahip, Chonburi – A ‘Mountain B’ customer who was caught in viral footage holding a bottle of liquor and an ice bucket while running for his life from the burning venue was summoned to a police station for questioning on Saturday evening, August 6th.

Thai Tourism Authority to officially propose entertainment venues legal opening hours extension to 4:00 A.M. in tourist zones like Phuket and Pattaya

Thailand – The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is set to officially propose to the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) for entertainment venue opening hours to be extended until 4:00 A.M. starting this high season in October.

Election Commission to consider petition on Thai PM’s term in office

Thailand’s Election Commission will hold a meeting to consider a petition, submitted by political activist Srisuwan Janya, asking the election watchdog to seek a Constitutional Court ruling on whether Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s term in the office will reach its 8-year limit on August 24th, said EC Chairman Itthiporn Boonprakong Saturday.

Over 100 Thais deported from South Korea’s Jeju Island

A group of 106 Thai nationals have been deported back to Thailand after South Korean immigration officials, at Jeju international airport, refused them entry because they were suspected job seekers, not tourists.

Fatal fire pub owner allegedly admits to charges, agrees to pay compensation

The owner of the “Mountain B” pub in Chon Buri, which caught fire on Friday night with the loss of 15 lives, has allegedly admitted to the charges filed by police and will not attempt to flee, according to his lawyer Anucha Wongsrirat on Saturday.

TRAT provincial authorities revealed this evening (August 7) that the French tourist suspected of having caught monkeypox has been cleared of the disease in one test with confirmation of the second test expected tomorrow, Naewna newspaper.

Chadchart: Of 83 Problematic Pubs In Bangkok, 49 Are In Chatuchak

BANGKOK Governor Chadchart Sittipunt said today (August 7) that safety checks of all local service outlets to ensure adequate and functional fire exits had found 83 pubs with problems with as many as 49 being in Chatuchak district, Matichon newspaper said.

First indigenous musical performance in park held in Bangkok
