Popular Post starky Posted August 7, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2022 Im assuming if the 8 year rule is emforced than the pm position will be a sham election with the top dogs playing pass the parcel. Prayut to Anutin. Anutin to whoever and so on. Saves having to have these silly coups all the time and just as effective. 3
Popular Post Baron Samedi Posted August 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2022 A farang hater / trash can as prime minister ???? 3 1

Popular Post Gandtee Posted August 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2022 My brain hurts! A nut in the Prime Minister's position?? As the great Jerry Lee Lewis sang, 'Goodness gracious. Great balls of fire!'???? 1 2
zzaa09 Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 The most wonderful and complex paradox about Thai politics/politicians is that you don't require popular support to succeed deeply. Always other things at play. ????
MrJ2U Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Anutin got 1.52% in a recent poll (June 22-25) of 2,500 people in according to the Bangkok Post. That's really bad by any standards. 2

Andycoops Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 If he does indeed succeed in becoming PM it will be the traditional Thai reward for failure at every level of his current tenure. 1
Partenavia Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I really is amazing that he should even be considered as PM. Clearly ability doesn't count for much.

Ability never has counted, clearly shown awhile back when a popular opposition party leader was removed for being a threat to the establishment. 1 1
Thailand Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Probably part of the deal when his party sold out to Prayuth and co. Cannabis was a big part of it so maybe the top job eventually was also in the deal.

Yeah. Only loyal thugs need apply. Appointments will be swift and sound. No elections necessary. 1
unblocktheplanet Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Voting? I think I'm too wasted, man. Are they giving out Cheetos? (Always been a big cheat-o before!)
Nsp64 Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I think you'll find that as soon as he gets the job his allegiances will change. He's not a military man and has been towing the line nicely but lets see what happens when he doesn't have to support prayut anymore.
freedomnow Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Zooming into his photo, is there a bong under his podium ?
Karma80 Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I don't think he meets the minimum qualification to remain in office - some Generals stars. 1
