Dear friend he was just joking, relax, have a little bit sense of humor. and yes the uk and many other western countries and of course other developing countries are much more dangerous than Thailand . I have seen violence in Thailand mainly between locals over the years, but not to much and not to brutal, I have never felt not safe here, day or night. . 1
